Dindigul District Police have arrested two burglary suspects following an intensive investigation into a series of house thefts reported in different parts of the district. The arrests were made after a special investigation team analyzed CCTV footage, collected forensic evidence, and tracked the movements of the suspects using technical surveillance.
According to police officials, the accused allegedly targeted locked houses during daytime hours when residents were away. They are suspected of breaking into homes and stealing gold jewellery, cash, electronic appliances, and other valuable items before escaping the scene.
During the operation, police recovered a substantial quantity of stolen property, including gold ornaments, cash, electronic devices, and burglary tools believed to have been used in the crimes. The recovered valuables will be returned to their rightful owners after the completion of legal procedures.
Investigators are also examining whether the accused are linked to similar burglary cases reported in neighboring districts. Police have registered multiple criminal cases against the suspects and produced them before the court for further legal proceedings.
Dindigul District Police have advised residents to strengthen home security by installing CCTV cameras, using quality door locks, informing trusted neighbors before extended travel, and immediately reporting any suspicious persons or activities to the nearest police station. Officials stated that regular patrols and surveillance will continue to ensure the safety and security of the public.
