Very nice temple. The main temple was there before Tippu Sultan came to this place, but the current structure of the temple was done after that over a period of time. I could remember that the steps leading to temple was carved in the hill till the temple and beyond when I was child. But now they have made sophisticated with cement making it easy to climb.
All Saturdays are very special here. Puratasi (mid Sept – mid Oct) draws huge crowd. Aadi 18 is special and people will float deepam in that lake in front of the temple.
